How to Use the Countdown Timer

This is a simple and versatile tool to help you keep track of time for any task. Whether you need a quick timer for a workout or a longer one for focused work, this timer has you covered.

Here’s how to use its features:

1. Setting the Time

You have two easy ways to set the countdown duration:

  • Preset Buttons: For common intervals, simply click one of the preset buttons at the top: 1min, 5min, 10min, 15min, 20min, or 30min. This will instantly set the timer to that duration.
  • Manual Adjustment: For a custom time, use the + and buttons.
    • Under the “Hours,” “Minutes,” and “Seconds” labels, you can click the + button to add time or the - button to subtract time.
    • This allows you to set any specific duration you need, for example, 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 30 seconds.

Note: You can only set the time when the timer is stopped.

2. Controlling the Timer

The main controls are located at the bottom:

  • Start / Pause Button (▶️ / ⏸️):
    • Click the green Play button to start the countdown.
    • While the timer is running, this button will turn into a yellow Pause button. Click it to pause the timer. Click it again to resume.
  • Stop Button (❌):
    • Click the red Stop button to completely stop the timer and reset it to zero.
  • Fullscreen Button (⛶):
    • Click this button to view the timer in fullscreen mode, making it easier to see from a distance. Press the Esc key or click the button again to exit fullscreen.

3. Visual Feedback

  • Digital Display: The large, clear numbers show you the remaining hours, minutes, and seconds.
  • Progress Bar: The blue bar below the numbers visually represents the time elapsed, giving you a quick glance at how much time is left.

When the countdown reaches zero, a gentle notification sound will play to let you know that your time is up.
