But here’s the thing: getting an accurate estimate isn’t always as simple as a basic calendar. What if your cycles are irregular? What if you know your exact conception date? What if you had an IVF transfer?

How to Use This Calculator (It’s Smart!)

This tool is more than just a simple “add 40 weeks” calculator. It gives you five different ways to find your date, so you can use the information you actually have.

Just pick the method that works for you:

1. Last Period (LMP) & Cycle Length This is the most common method. You’ll enter the first day of your last menstrual period. But here’s the cool part: you can also enter your average cycle length. Most calculators assume a 28-day cycle, but we know that’s not real life for many people! Adjusting this makes your estimate much more accurate.
2. Conception Date Were you tracking your ovulation? If you’re confident you know the exact day you conceived, this is the most direct way to calculate. Just pop in that date, and we’ll do the rest.
3. Known Due Date Maybe your doctor already gave you a due date, but you’re curious about the rest of the details. You can enter that “Known Due Date” here, and our tool will work backward to show you how far along you are, what trimester you’re in, and how much of your pregnancy journey is complete.
4. Ultrasound Date An early ultrasound is often the most accurate way to date a pregnancy. If your doctor performed a scan and said something like, “You are 9 weeks and 3 days along,” this option is for you. Just enter the date of your ultrasound and the gestational age (weeks and days) you were given.
5. IVF Transfer Date For an IVF pregnancy, the timing is very specific. This method lets you enter your transfer date and specify whether it was a 3-day embryo or a 5-day embryo (blastocyst) transfer to get a precise due date.

Understanding Your Results

Once you hit that “Get The Date!” button, you’ll see a complete snapshot of your pregnancy:

• Your Estimated Due Date (EDD): This is the big one! The day you can look forward to.
• Gestational Age: This shows you exactly how far along you are in weeks and days (e.g., “12 weeks and 2 days”).
• Current Trimester: It will tell you if you’re in the first, second, or third trimester.
• Your Pregnancy Progress: This is the most visual part! You’ll see a progress bar showing what percentage of your pregnancy you’ve already completed. It’s a fun way to see just how far you’ve come!
